The Las Vegas Raiders partnered with Three Square, the sole food bank in Southern Nevada, to distribute Thanksgiving meals to residents in need, with the Raiders’ offensive line helping raise funds and hand out food. On Tuesday at Allegiant Stadium, 706 families received turkeys and fresh produce through a drive-thru distribution organized to streamline the process, according to 8 News Now.
The Raiders supported the community beyond football by providing complete holiday meals. This gave families the ingredients for a proper Thanksgiving feast who might not have had one otherwise.
At Allegiant Stadium, a community event provided food, including turkeys and produce, and allowed attendees to meet Raiders players and the Raiderettes cheer squad. The event opened at 1 p.m., with food distribution starting at 3:30 p.m., as reported by News 3 Las Vegas. Those who could not attend can access food assistance through Three Square’s website and help line.
