Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Search and Rescue teams responded Wednesday afternoon near Little Falls in Mt. Charleston after three hikers went off the designated trail, creating a hazardous situation, the department reported on lvmpdsar social media.

 

 

Around 4 p.m., one hiker slipped onto a ledge below the trail, and a second hiker became stranded while trying to help. Both were immobilized but uninjured. A third hiker went down the trail to call 911, according to the LVMPD.

LVMPD’s AIR1 team sent a rescuer who safely brought both hikers back. They were taken to the USFS helipad and checked for hypothermia, the department reported.
