A display of seamless inter-agency collaboration, responders from Lawrence County Fire Rescue and EMS managed to free the trapped individual without the need for heavy wrecker assistance that was initially requested to the scene.
The incident took place within the Gandy Fire District and showed the importance of a well-oiled emergency service capable of quickly adapting to the evolving circumstances. Before the heavy equipment arrived, rescuers were able to liberate the man by utilizing the gear already on hand. “Our personnel were able to free the man before the heavy equipment arrived by utilizing rescue equipment on the scene,” the post recalls, hinting at the efficiency and preparedness of the team.
Miraculously, the individual involved in the accident walked away with just minor injuries.
