Travelers used to the old Hartsville Pike will now have to get acquainted with its new moniker, Hazelwood Pike. The stretch of road from East High Street to East Forrest Avenue has undergone a renaming as part of the shift. Although Hazelwood Pike may be the name on the street signs, drivers taking a left from East High Street will find themselves seamlessly merging onto the new Hartsville Pike, ensuring continuity despite the change in nomenclature.
The local authorities are encouraging motorists who frequent Hartsville Pike to exercise extra caution while adjusting to the freshness of the asphalt and the novelty of the traffic pattern. "If you normally use Hartsville Pike, please be mindful of the new traffic pattern and pay attention," the Lebanon Police Department urged in their announcement.
