Lebanon Police Department officers made several arrests following a SafeNet alert at a local Home Depot, detaining a Tennessee man with multiple warrants and two others on drug charges, a recent social media post revealed. Nicholas Booher, identified as the driver, reportedly had a stolen vehicle and was apprehended with the help of the SafeNet program. Alongside Booher, passengers Matthew Degroat of Cookeville and Jessie Murphy of Baxter were also taken into custody for possession of suspected methamphetamine.
In what turned out to be a multipurpose bust, officers managed not only to recover stolen property but also to apprehend suspects on outstanding charges. The Lebanon Police Department's post stated, "Officers learned that the driver, Nicholas Booher, had stolen both the vehicle and the license plate displayed on it." The update elaborated that Booher is faced with additional charges from the day of the arrest, on top of the existing warrants that include forced entry out of Putnam County, a probation violation out of DeKalb County, and failure to appear out of Rutherford County.
The social media update from the Lebanon PD went on to commend the officers' quick response and noted the role of their SafeNet Program in enabling such swift action. "We’re grateful for our officers’ quick response and for the technology that helps us combat crime in our city." Officers acted promptly following the SafeNet alert to locate and detain the suspects.
