Branching out from their usual treasure trove of books, the Lewisville Public Library at 1197 W. Main Street, is welcoming patrons to a series of free and engaging activities designed for various age groups. The library hours are Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and it remains closed on Sundays, as per the City of Lewisville.

On Monday, Nov. 3, from 6:30-7:30 p.m., adults are invited to the Crawford Meeting Room for the "Gratitude Cards" event. Here, participants can craft hand-written gratitude cards. "It’s the season to be thankful, so share the love by creating a hand-written gratitude card to let that special someone know what they mean to you," the Lewisville Public Library's announcements state, per the City of Lewisville. Registration for these events is necessary.

For teens ages 13 to 18, the library is hosting the "Teens @ The Hive: Custom Note Boards" activity on Thursday, Nov. 6, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at The Hive Makerspace. This workshop offers a chance for teens to learn about sublimation and how to create their own wipe-off note board. All supplies are provided at no cost, but signing up in advance is required.
