More than $100,000 worth of copper wire was reported stolen from a secured solar field late last month. According to CBS Los Angeles, the theft occurred on October 29, 2025, shortly after sunrise.
The information provided by the Sheriff's Department specifies the location of the incident within the 8800 block of East Avenue L-8, where the suspects are alleged to have damaged solar panels in addition to the theft of copper wire. Two images of the suspects were disclosed by deputies. They have not only appealed to the public for information but have also posted the photos on social media platforms to widen the search. However, the authorities have not yet identified any of the suspects involved in the theft or the extent of the damages aside from the stolen copper.
