A tragic hit-and-run incident in Los Angeles has left a woman dead and a man severely injured, as reported by the Los Angeles Police Department. On the night of October 30, 2025, around 10:35 p.m., the two pedestrians were struck while attempting to cross Foothill Boulevard just north of Kagel Canyon Street. The involved vehicle, identified as a red 2005 Honda Accord coupe, did not stop to aid the victims, a breach of legal duty.
Local first responders declared the 46-year-old female victim dead at the scene. While pronounced dead upon impact, paramedics rushed the 40-year-old male victim to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition. The Valley Traffic Division (VTD) of the LAPD is actively seeking information from any potential eyewitnesses and has called for public assistance in the investigation of this heinous crime. The LAPD emphasizes the legal obligation for motorists to provide identification and emergency assistance in the event of such collisions.
Officials from the VTD are appealing to anyone with knowledge about the collision to come forward. Persons with tips can contact VTD Officers, Reyes at 818-644-8114, or Gallo at 818-644-8119. The LAPD has made available multiple channels for reporting information anonymously, including the L.A. Regional Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477), web tips through the LAPD online system, and the “P3 Tips” mobile application.
As the consequences of a fleeting moment mar the lives of not only those struck down but also an entire community in their wake, the LAPD reminds drivers about the serious nature of hit-and-run incidents and the importance of compliance with road safety regulations, seeking to prevent future tragedies of this nature. Updates on this case are expected as the investigation progresses and law enforcement endeavours to bring the perpetrator to justice.
