Early yesterday morning, a 24-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl were wounded in a double shooting that occurred in Baltimore's Fells Point neighborhood. According to CBS News, officers responded around 1:30 a.m. to the 700 block of South Broadway Street following reports of gunfire. Police found the two victims with apparent gunshot wounds and promptly transported them to the hospital for treatment.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting appear to involve a fight, as witnesses reported a scuffle that broke out before the gunfire. One individual reportedly went to their car to retrieve a gun, exacerbating the situation and ultimately leading to the shooting. This account was supported by a cell phone video acquired by FOX Baltimore, which showed police attempting to break up the fight and the two injured individuals on the ground.
