A man was arrested by the Metropolitan Police after a robbery in Northeast Washington, D.C. Officials said it happened on Saturday, November 1, 2025, around 3:30 p.m. on Market Street. The suspect attacked a man from behind and stole his cellphone but quickly threw it away while running off. The victim was treated for minor injuries, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
On the following Friday, Metropolitan Police Department detectives were able to apprehend Eddie Lucas, a 38-year-old man of no fixed address in connection with the crime. Lucas has since been charged with Robbery (Force and Violence).
