
An incident in East Baltimore has left one man dead following a shooting last night. Fox Baltimore reported that Baltimore police responded to a ShotSpotter alert at around 5:56 p.m. in the 1500 block of East Lanvale Street in the Oliver neighborhood.
Arriving at the scene, they discovered an unidentified adult male who had been struck by multiple bullets. Despite the efforts of the responding officers and medical personnel, the victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The exact time of death and the circumstances leading to this fatal event, while details are still emerging, continue to haunt the local community.
The case has now been taken over by homicide detectives. In a statement reported by Baltimore Witness, the Baltimore Police Department announced that its homicide unit arrived shortly after the victim was found and has since taken the reins of the investigation.
