Early this morning, in Orange County, a fatal collision claimed the life of a man driving a Hyundai Elantra on Interstate 4. According to ClickOrlando, the crash happened just after 3 a.m. near World Center Drive when the Hyundai, for reasons not yet determined, struck a median and subsequently collided with a Kia Sedona.
The impact was severe enough to result in the immediate death of the Hyundai driver. The identity of the man, pending notification of next of kin, has not been released. The 69-year-old driver of the Kia, hailing from Ocoee, sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
On the other hand, WFTV detailed that after striking the median, the Hyundai driver lost control of the vehicle, veered off the road, collided with the guardrail, and was propelled back into the eastbound lanes, eventually crashing into the Kia. The series of events leading to the crash is currently being investigated by the Florida Highway Patrol.
