A man was wounded by gunfire on Monday night in north Harris County after a confrontation with four other individuals on Airtex Boulevard. The victim, who was shot, drove himself to a nearby business for aid and was then transported to a hospital where his condition is reported as stable. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the incident and searching for the four suspects, according to Click2Houston.
Deputies responding to the scene learned that the male victim was shot in the back while attempting to flee a verbal dispute with four other men, who subsequently fired approximately 20 rounds at his departing vehicle. Authorities were able to locate the initial shooting site but did not find a weapon, and they are now diligently reviewing video evidence to gather more information.
Sgt. R. Wade provided key details, informing FOX26 Houston, "Investigators were able to watch video of the scene. They learned there was a verbal altercation with the victim and four other men. As the victim drove off, the suspects shot about 20 rounds, hitting the victim and the victim's vehicle." The suspects remain unidentified and at large, and the sheriff's office is urging the community to come forward with any information as they work to determine if there was a prior relationship between the victim and the assailants.
