As the holiday season approaches, Manatee County is gearing up for a festive event geared toward family enjoyment. The annual A Night Before Christmas event at GT Bray Park promises a sleigh-full of activities to get everyone into the holiday spirit. Taking place on Saturday, December 13, from 4 to 8 p.m., according to Manatee County Government's social media post, this holiday extravaganza is a can't-miss outing for locals and visitors alike.
Among the festivities, attendees will find a "snow" slide, a foam zone, and a variety of inflatables. Adding to the family-friendly atmosphere, there's the added convenience, and appeal of a “Shop Local” Vendor Marketplace and a variety of food and dessert trucks parked on-site for when the hunger pangs from playing in the snow kick in.
Keeping with the season's spirit of giving, event entry is offered free of charge, yet the organizers encourage attendees to bring a new, unwrapped toy for a suggested donation to Toys for Tots. This charitable angle helps ensure that the happiness of the season reaches as many homes as possible. For the kids and the forever young at heart, Santa and Mrs. Claus will make a special appearance, providing an opportunity for professional pictures.
The venue for this annual spectacle is G.T. Bray Park, conveniently located at 5502 33rd Avenue Drive West in Bradenton. The event, presented by Outdoor Lighting Perspectives, not only brings together community members in celebration but also supports local businesses through the "Shop Local" initiative.
