
A Thanksgiving night turned tragic in Marion, Ohio, following a single-vehicle crash that left a woman dead and a man with minor injuries. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that the incident, involving a Jaguar XJ, occurred around 9:40 p.m. on West Columbia Street.
The driver, a 23-year-old man from Perrysburg, was suspected to have being impaired when the car he was operating struck a parked Honda Odyssey. According to 10TV, the impact inflicted severe injuries upon Colleen Foster, 40, of Marion, who was positioned in the front passenger seat. Foster was initially taken to Marion General Hospital and later transferred to Grant Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The driver's injuries were described as minor, and he was treated at Marion General Hospital. In their investigation, OSHP indicated that neither the driver nor Foster was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. It was further noted by OSHP that "impairment is suspected to be a factor" in the accident, as reported by FOX8.
