
Massachusetts is awarding $6.34 million to 65 cultural and tourism projects through the FY26 Destination Development Capital grants. The funds are intended to support attractions and enhance tourism across the state, according to the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism release.
The grants will help expand, construct, restore, or renovate museums, performing arts venues, historic sites, and other public spaces, improving visitor experiences and local economies.
Massachusetts reported more than 31 million visitors in 2024, with spending reaching $27.6 billion, supporting over 130,000 jobs and generating $2.3 billion in state and local tax revenue. The FY26 grants aim to sustain and grow the state’s tourism sector by improving accessibility and infrastructure.
