
Residents of Mayfield Heights should prepare to revise their Sunday travel plans. The local police department has announced a road closure to accommodate the annual Girls on the Run 5K Race. In a social media post from the Mayfield Heights Police Department, it was stated that "Ridgebury Blvd. (from Lander Rd. to SOM Center Rd.) will be closed from 9:20 AM to 11:20 AM."
The event, which aims to inspire and motivate girls, necessitates the temporary inconvenience as athletes will quickly to take to the streets. Drivers are advised to use alternative routes such as Mayfield Rd. or Wilson Mills Rd. during the closure. The police department has also expressed gratitude in advance, thanking the public "for your patience and support for the runners," as per the Mayfield Heights Police Department official Facebook page.
