In the growing city of McKinney, Texas, a monumental stride in community health and safety has been taken with the grand opening of the LifePath Systems campus. Situated across the street from the Collin County Administration Building, the new facility spans a substantial 110,000 square feet, dedicated to an array of mental health and support services. According to a social media post from the Collin County Sheriff's Office, the Sheriff himself, along with other deputies, was present to take a tour of the impressive new establishment.
LifePath’s vastly expanded mental health crisis center promises to actively divert individuals from jails and emergency rooms in Collin County, according to the post. Among the services housed in this new campus are intensive behavioral health care and resources for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As reported by the Collin County Sheriff’s Office on Facebook, Sheriff Skinner was also recognized for his continuous support with a special plaque.
This partnership between law enforcement and mental health services underlines the shared goal of fostering a safer and healthier community. The Collin County Sheriff's Office, in their social media statement, expressed pride in their collaboration with LifePath Systems, emphasizing that when these two important community arms work hand in hand, "everybody wins."
Lesley Miller, CEO of LifePath Systems, emphasized in the social media post, "We’re thankful for the important work LifePath is doing and excited for the future of our collaboration." The implication is clear—the nexus of such facilities and law enforcement is intended not just to serve the community today, but to lay the groundwork for ongoing, future cooperation, as per the Collin County Sheriff's Office.
