The chance of precipitation spikes significantly to 80%, with new rainfall potentially measuring up to a half-inch.
NWS Memphis projects that rainy conditions will persist into Saturday night, with the probability of precipitation climbing to 90%. A mix of rain and showers will maintain a presence into early Sunday before tapering off and giving way to partly sunny skies and a high of 42 degrees. The forecast for Sunday night suggests cloudier skies with a dip in temperatures to around 27 degrees.
The onset of the new week seems to bring a potential resurgence of showers, particularly by Monday afternoon, where there is a 20 percent chance of rain. NWS Memphis signals that the weather will continue to be mostly cloudy, with a high near 38. The forecast also indicates a chance of a mix of rain and snow showers before midnight on Monday. These conditions are expected to give rise to a mostly sunny Tuesday, with a modest high of 39 degrees.
Despite the intermittent showers and cloud cover, the weather appears to brighten by mid-week, with NWS Memphis forecasting sunny conditions and a high around 48 on Wednesday. Residents can look forward to clearer skies following days of fluctuating weather patterns.
