The City of Mesa's commitment to economic development was recently acknowledged with a slew of accolades from the Arizona Association for Economic Development (AAED). As detailed by Mesa Now, the Mesa Office of Economic Development (Mesa OED) took home four Golden Prospector Awards of Merit. These awards celebrate excellence across various facets of economic development—a testament to the city's innovative strategies and successful initiatives.
Among the recognized efforts, Mesa's OED was particularly lauded for its Business Appreciation Event. It celebrated the role women-owned and female-led businesses play in the local economy. Another win was for their dedicated website, MesaAZRetail.com, crafted to entice retailers with its treasure trove of market data and interactive tools strategically displaying development opportunities in a user-friendly manner.
Also on the acclaim list was Mesa's Business Builder @ The Studios, which operates as a supportive ecosystem for small businesses. They are nurturing growth through a range of services, including training, mentorship, and access to funding and workspace. Meanwhile, the "More to Mesa Retail Campaign" secured recognition for its efforts in positioning Mesa not just as a choice destination for retail investment but as a vibrant shopping hub for residents and visitors alike.
