The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help to locate a suspect involved in an assault that occurred early yesterday in the 500 block of K Street NW.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department release, the suspect demanded money from the victim and, after being refused, struck the victim with a glass bottle before fleeing on a bicycle. The victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Investigators have released surveillance photos of the suspect and are asking anyone with information to contact police at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411. A reward of up to $1,000 is available for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Police advise the public not to approach the suspect but to call authorities if they recognize him.
