The Metropolitan Police Department is on the hunt for a suspect involved in a Northwest robbery and is seeking public assistance. The incident, which occurred on the evening of November 4, ended with a victim being assaulted and robbed of their property on the 1300 block of Vermont Avenue, Northwest, as reported by the Metropolitan Police Department.
According to the official Metropolitan Police Department report, Third District officers arrived at the scene around 7:00 p.m., following the crime. The suspects had quickly fled on foot post-assault. Now, police are urging individuals with any knowledge of the case or the suspect's identity, to come forward with information.
A financial incentive is on the table. "The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia," as stated in the Metropolitan Police Department release.
Community members who hold relevant information, however, are advised not to take any direct action but should instead contact police at (202) 727-9099. Alternatively, tips can be texted discreetly to the department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411, as per the Metropolitan Police Department.
