El Paso Police have successfully located 75-year-old Primitivo Chavez, who was reported missing after leaving an East El Paso care facility. According to KFOXTV, Chavez was last seen around 2:57 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, leaving the facility located at the 3100 block of Forney Lane.
A statewide Silver Alert had been previously issued, with authorities highlighting that Chavez was considered an endangered person due to his age and medical condition that necessitates medication. Conducting an extensive search, the El Paso Police Department, who confirmed Chavez had no means of communication, solicited the public's assistance in the search.
In a statement obtained by KTSM, the police department shared that Chavez's medical condition was a significant concern, adding increased urgency to the search efforts. Community members were urged to keep an eye out and report any sightings or information to the non-emergency police number (915) 832-4400 or call 911 for immediate assistance.
Details regarding the circumstances of Chavez's disappearance and his condition upon being found were not released immediately. However, relieved by the positive outcome, the police extend their gratitude to those involved in the search for Chavez, who was returned to the place he had been cared from. Encompassing teams and residents contributed to this effort that has thankfully erased one more name from the list of the missing, a list ever too long and each name most cherished.
