The Ovilla Police Department has good news to share as Awilda Perez, who was reported missing since last Thursday, has been found safe. A brief update from the Ovilla Police Department at 11:06 PM confirmed her safety and extended gratitude to the community for their assistance in spreading the word about her disappearance.
Perez, a white-Hispanic female born on July 6, 1955, was last seen departing from the IRVING Baylor Scott and White last Wednesday around 11:40 am. Standing at an approximate height of 5'2" and weighing 119 pounds, Perez has brown eyes, brown hair, and was last noted wearing either a blue or beige dress paired with sandals. There were heightened concerns for her well-being as Awilda Perez is diabetic and, as reported by the police, possibly has dementia.
The alert for her missing was given last Thursday, between 3-4 pm, after which the Ovilla Police Department's call for public assistance played a critical role in ensuring her safe return. The call to action requested anyone with information, or if Perez was spotted, to urgently contact either 911 or Northern Ellis Emergency Dispatch at 972-775-3333.
