In Monroe, North Carolina, a testimony of gratitude from a local business has illuminated the community-focused efforts of the Union County Sheriff's Office, specifically honoring the deputies of Indian Trail. A heartfelt commendation, published by the Sheriff's Office on social media, reveals how, after a distressing break-in at a facility in the Indian Trail area, the local deputies responded with a sustained presence, offering reassurance and a deterrence to potential future incidents.
"Last month, we had a break in at our facility in Indian Trail that made us feel violated. Afterwards, we requested an enhanced patrol to help deter the criminals from coming back," shared the message from an appreciative local resident; it goes on to acknowledge the deputies' commitment with, "For the last month, night shift patrol periodically stopped by our facility and performed a drive through to make sure nothing nefarious was going on. We really appreciate the enhanced patrols; it shows that they truly do care about the community."
The acknowledgment was welcomed by Sheriff Eddie Cathey, who reiterated the importance of such community engagement. "This message reflects the hard work and dedication our deputies show daily," stated Sheriff Cathey in the social media post, expressing his gratitude for the community's acknowledgment and support.
