Montgomery County Alcohol Beverage Services (ABS) released the 12th episode of its podcast series Spirited Discussions, titled "Voices from Control Systems Around the Country." The episode features 15 industry experts from various state alcohol control systems discussing topics such as product selection, pricing, and the impact of state-run alcohol programs. The episode also includes travel recommendations and signature drinks from different states, as per the Montgomery County.
Hosted by Jocelyn Rawat, the podcast explains that state-run alcohol systems manage wholesale and/or retail sales, with revenues supporting public programs. About a quarter of the U.S. population lives under these jurisdictions. The episode also touches on historical and local topics, such as Prohibition in North Carolina and missing huckleberries in Montana.
