
Authorities are investigating the shooting death of 54-year-old Sarahi Concepcion Aragon-Cruz in Fairland. The Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division reported that the incident took place on Thursday, November 6, in the 3000 block of Memory Lane. As detailed by the officials, officers received a call at around 5:41 p.m. and arrived at the scene alongside Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel to find Aragon-Cruz in a residence, suffering from a gunshot wound.
The investigation led by Montgomery County detectives has shown that during an argument inside the home, a known male suspect shot Aragon-Cruz and fled the area. Efforts to save her life were unsuccessful, and she was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the suspect has not been disclosed to the public as detectives continue to search for him.
According to a press release from Montgomery County's official website, Aragon-Cruz's body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy. This procedure will help to determine the official cause and manner of her death.
