The Montgomery County Police increased holiday enforcement with their Alcohol Holiday Task Force from November 19 to 22, conducting 177 traffic stops that resulted in 201 citations, 194 warnings, 19 repair orders, eight breath tests, and three DRE evaluations. Their efforts also led to one civil citation, the discovery of two firearms, and 25 DUI arrests, according to the Montgomery County.
"It should be noted that the above arrests include only those arrests made by task force officers and do not include the additional arrests made by patrol officers in the performance of their duties," meaning the total number of DUI arrests during this period is higher. The task force’s actions aim to keep the roads safer during the busy holiday season, as reported by the Montgomery County.
