A mother and two juveniles were arrested on Saturday after an incident involving gunfire at a San Gabriel Valley home, KTLA reports. Shots were fired from a vehicle in front of a residence on the 11500 block of Monte Vista Drive around 1:30 p.m., according to the Whittier Police Department.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the home. The police officers quickly worked to obtain the vehicle's license plate number, a detail that led them to promptly locate the suspect's vehicle. A K-9 officer spotted the vehicle less than a mile from the scene, initiating what has been described as a "high-risk felony traffic stop."
The subsequent search of the car yielded two firearms, ammunition, and narcotics. "The adult female driver, her juvenile son, and another juvenile were arrested for multiple felony charges and transported to the Whittier PD Jail for booking," the Whittier Police Department detailed in a Facebook post.
The names of the suspects have not been released, nor has additional information about the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
