The Metropolitan Police Department has arrested 44-year-old Tyrone Spencer in connection with the fatal shooting of 36-year-old Francois Adkins in Northeast Washington, D.C.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department release, Adkins was found with gunshot wounds on September 1 in the 2300 block of 14th Street, Northeast, and was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Spencer was charged with First Degree Murder while Armed (Premeditated) following a DC Superior Court arrest warrant issued yesterdat. The MPD’s Fifth District led the investigation. No additional details about the motive or circumstances of the shooting have been released.
