The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in an assault that happened just after 1 a.m. on October 23 on the 300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast. Police said the suspect approached the victim and struck them with a chair before fleeing the scene, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Surveillance footage captured the attack, and investigators have released a photo of the suspect to help generate leads, as reported by the Metropolitan Police Department.
The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in this case. Anyone with information can call (202) 727-9099 or text 50411. Police advise the public not to approach the suspect.
