Nashvillians can enjoy sunny skies today with a comfortable high near 71 degrees, with a light east southeast breeze at about 5 mph, according to the NWS. The humidity sits heavy at 80%, while visibility remains clear across ten miles. As for tonight, expect mostly clear skies with temperatures dipping to a low around 53 degrees and winds picking up, potentially gusting as high as 20 mph.
However, Friday could bring an onset of showers and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly in the afternoon. With the chance of precipitation hovering around 60% and potentially higher rainfall amounts forecasted within thunderstorms, those planning outdoor activities should consider having an umbrella at hand. "New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms," the NWS reports. Friday night's weather will stay unsettled, as a chance of showers and thunderstorms exists before midnight, followed by a slight chance of showers continuing into the early hours.
Moving into the weekend, Saturday holds a 20 percent chance of showers after noon, although it will remain predominantly sunny with highs approaching 73 degrees. Come Saturday night, the likelihood of showers jumps to 50 percent before midnight. The rollercoaster weather is predicted to take a cooler turn on Sunday, with partly sunny conditions and highs near 50, accompanied by brisk northwest winds that could reach gusts of up to 25 mph.
The chill is set to continue into the start of next week, as the NWS details that Monday will be sunny but with highs topping out near 44. "Mostly clear, with a low around 25," reads the forecast for Monday night. Veterans Day is slated for sunny skies again and a more moderate high of around 55 degrees. The remainder of the week seems to stabilize weather-wise, with sunny conditions and a high near 64 by Wednesday.
