New Braunfels, Texas, has received a Municipal Excellence Award from the Texas Municipal League for its Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) program.
According to the City of New Braunfels, the program integrates mobile health services into emergency response, connecting residents to preventive care and reducing non-emergency 911 calls by nearly 80%.
The initiative has also saved the city more than $500,000 in emergency service costs while improving access to health services. The MIH program is part of New Braunfels’ ongoing efforts to enhance community health and public safety.
