As North Carolinians head to the polls for the 2025 municipal elections, the state’s election officials have called for an all-important press briefing to unfold on the day of the vote, giving journalists and the public a lens into the electoral process. Sam Hayes, the executive director of the N.C. State Board of Elections, will lead a news conference at 11 a.m. today, offering updates and addressing queries related to the electoral activities, as reported by the official State Board of Elections press release.
The event is open to credentialed media members who may attend in person or join remotely. The in-person briefing will take place at Raleigh’s Emergency Operations Center, located at 1636 Gold Star Drive.
