A rollover crash involving a concrete truck on the 3000 block of northbound S Burleson Blvd at County Road 518 had brought traffic to a standstill, but as of 7:37 pm last evening, the scene has been cleared up. As shared by the Burleson Police Department on their social media, "Officers went out to the scene and have reported that the debris has been cleared and the roadways are open."
Initially, motorists using this route faced substantial delays likened to the slow pace of a turtle crossing the road. The Burleson Police Department had humorously noted, "if this is part of your normal route, you are going to feel like you are waiting for this turtle to cross the road." Despite the inconvenience, the authorities later confirmed that there had been no reported injuries from the incident.
The crash had necessitated a full closure of the impacted area for clean-up operations. During this time, the Burleson PD had urged the public to avoid the area, anticipate significant delays, and allow extra travel time as officers and crews worked on the roadway.
