The New York Police Department is searching for a suspect involved in an armed robbery in Brooklyn. According to NYPD Crimestoppers social media post, the incident occurred on November 6, at approximately 2:20 P.M. near Mermaid Avenue and West 29th Street. The suspect allegedly took DVDs from a 39-year-old male vendor without paying. When confronted, the suspect fired a weapon and fled on foot with the stolen items.
Authorities have released a description of the suspect to seek public assistance. He is a male last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, orange sweatpants, white and black sneakers, and carrying a black backpack. Residents are urged to provide any information that could help identify and apprehend the individual responsible for the midday robbery and shooting.
