According to the NYPD Crimestoppers post, the incident occurred yesterday, November 26 at approximately 6:35 P.M on a northbound E train as it approached the Forest Hills-71 Avenue station. A 21-year-old female victim, who had been asleep on the train, awoke to the distressing violation of her personal space—an unidentified male individual was caught in the act of squeezing her buttocks.
Despite the unsettling nature of the event, the suspect managed to quickly exit the train at the Forest Hills-71 Avenue station, subsequently disappearing into the hustle of the city. The victim choose to stay aboard, perhaps in shock or contemplation, continuing her northbound journey. The NYPD has provided a description of the suspect: a male with curly hair and a goatee, standing roughly 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds. He was last seen donning a navy blue hooded sweatshirt paired with black pants and black sneakers.
In their call for public assistance to locate the individual, NYPD Crimestoppers urged anyone with information to step forward.
