Amidst a fluctuating climate of economic ups and downs, the Oak Creek Farmers Market has stood out as a beacon of growth and community spirit in 2025. Despite a year marked by extreme weather variations, the market maintained its stature as a bustling weekly destination. In a community report shared by the City of Oak Creek, vendor sales ascended to impressive heights exceeding $1.1 million, with the agricultural sector flourishing alongside cheese, dairy, meat, and seafood categories experiencing remarkable upticks.
The heartiness of the market amid temperatures that swung from brisk to sweltering is notable. On four occasions, the mercury dipped below the 60-degree mark, and six times it shot above 85. Nonetheless, the Oak Creek Farmers Market remained an enticing draw for both locals and visitors. Alex Hayes, the Tourism and Event Coordinator, expressed in the official report, "The 2025 season showcased the incredible dedication of our vendors, sponsors, and shoppers. Week after week, people showed up, not just to buy, but to be part of something meaningful. That’s the heart of Oak Creek."
Sales weren't the only success story; the market has become a nucleus for local engagement and collective pride. More than 110 vendors treated residents to a cornucopia of local food and goods each season, creating space for small producers to expand and connect with the community. "We’re proud of the market’s continued success and the strong sense of community it fosters. With the addition of our new Market Operations Manager, Renee Wallace, we’re ready to build on this momentum. We look forward to welcoming back returning vendors and introducing new, unique products in 2026," added Director of Marketing and Public Relations Marcia Wayer, in statements obtained by the City of Oak Creek. Her enthusiasm signals a robust future for the market, bolstered by the recent addition of Market Operations Manager, Renee Wallace.
Oak Creek organizers have begun preparations for the 2026 season, outlining plans to expand partnerships and enhance programming. The market aims to increase food access across the region through new initiatives and community collaborations. Officials encourage interested vendors and attendees to follow the market’s website and social media pages for updates and application information early next year.
