As winter approaches, the Ohio Department of Transportation has issued a reminder regarding the maintenance responsibilities during the season's inclement weather.
According to a social media post published by the Ohio Department of Transportation last Friday, the organization is charged with preserving the drivability of U.S. state routes outside municipalities and all interstates, with the notable exception of the Ohio Turnpike.
In preparation for winter's snowy embrace, Ohio Department of Transportation's statement highlighted the importance of giving their crews adequate space to operate, declaring, "So this winter, remember to give our crews room to work as they are out clearing roadways," and emphasizing the increased challenge of snow and ice clearance amidst traffic, hence the advocacy for minimal driving when weather conditions sour.
