As drivers traverse the stretch of Interstate 70 in Ohio, they'll now be reminded of the sacrifices made by the U.S. Armed Forces. This Veterans Day, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) highlighted a key change: the entirety of I-70 in Ohio has been designated as a Blue Star Memorial Highway—a salute to the nation’s veterans.
The Ohio Department of Transportation’s social media post commemorated the tribute, stating, "All of Interstate 70 in Ohio is a Blue Star Memorial Highway, serving as a tribute to all members of the U.S. Armed Forces. Today, and every day, we thank our veterans."
As part of their efforts to actively support such memorials, ODOT also takes charge of producing the signs that signify these highways. These markers are a reminder, serving not just to commemorate, but also to educate travelers about the service and dedication of the armed forces personnel.
