The Freeze Watch extends across various parts of central, east central, northern, northwest, southeast, southern, southwest, and western Oklahoma, including Oklahoma City, and also reaches into northern Texas. The NWS advises that frost and freeze conditions "Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing." Meanwhile, locals can expect current fair weather with a humidity standing at 85% and calm south winds moving at a pace of just 5 mph. Yet, this is a deceptive prelude to the harsher conditions forecasted.
As for the immediate weather outlook, today remains sunny with a projected high near 70 degrees and slight wind shifts anticipated. Tonight's forecast predicts mostly clear skies, with falling temperatures settling around a low of 40 degrees. The clear trend continues into Sunday, though the high will drop significantly to 49 degrees, accompanied by north wind gusts potentially reaching 26 mph, according to NWS forecasts.
