Authorities have escalated their hunt for Christian Soto, a suspected murderer now topping the Attorney General of Oklahoma's 10 Most Wanted list. At the age of 26, Soto is implicated in the fatal shooting of a teenager during an incident on July 5 in Oklahoma City. According to the Oklahoma Attorney General's office, after an altercation at a house party, it is alleged that Soto pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots at the 17-year-old male victim.
The Attorney General Gentner Drummond has publicized an offer, noting a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to Soto's capture. "Through the 10 Most Wanted list, law enforcement seeks any information from the public that can help us capture people who have eluded justice and pose a risk to us all," Drummond stated on the Oklahoma Attorney General's website. "I am proud of the success we have had to date with this valuable program. I urge anyone with information about this individual to contact agents of the Attorney General’s Office."
The fugitive in question, Soto, is considered to be armed and highly dangerous. Before providing a tip to authorities, the public is reminded to exercise caution. Tips can be directed to the Attorney General's Office by individuals who wish to assist in the apprehension of Soto. The 10 Most Wanted program has been active since September 2024, and its establishment was to put a spotlight on violent criminals at large, generating public involvement in law enforcement's efforts to bring them to justice.
Since the start of this initiative, 16 fugitives have been apprehended, charged with offenses ranging from murder to drug trafficking. The 10 Most Wanted list, more information about the program, and how the public can submit tips are available on the Attorney General's 10 Most Wanted page. The office of the Attorney General continues to enlist the eyes and ears of the citizenry in a collective effort to maintain safety and justice in Oklahoma communities.
