
Authorities in Orlando are investigating a shooting that took place in the Washington Shores neighborhood. According to a report by WFTV, the incident occurred shortly after 10 p.m. last night along Columbia Street, just west of Goldwyn Avenue. As the sun comes up, Crime Scene Investigators hope to thoroughly examine the scene for possible evidence.
Further details regarding the nature of the incident are still under wraps as the Orlando Police Department has not yet confirmed the specifics of what transpired. A separate WESH report noted that crime scene investigation trucks are currently at the location, and the targeted house has been cordoned off with police tape. Authorities were seen to actively remove a vehicle from the property with a tow truck, suggesting a connection between the vehicle and the ongoing investigation.
There has also been a confirmation of a body being removed from a house in the area by the medical examiner, as stated by WESH. However, the identity of the victim and the circumstances leading to their death have yet to be disclosed by officials.
The Orlando Police Department has indicated that it will release more information today.
