A 13-year-old boy died after a crash while riding a gas-powered motorbike in Pearland on Saturday morning. Police said the incident happened at Cherry Street and Lynn Drive shortly after 11 a.m. Officers found the boy had been hit by a car and pronounced him dead at the scene, according to Click2Houston.
Investigators believe the young man ran a stop sign and was hit by an oncoming vehicle, as reported by KHOU. The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police. No charges are expected at this time.
