
On Tuesday morning, a 46-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing Little Mack Avenue near the Red Roof Inn at 31800 Little Mack Avenue in Roseville, Michigan. Police said the man walked into the path of oncoming traffic without checking if it was clear, as per CBS News Detroit.
A man was hit by a car around 5 a.m. while crossing the road and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a woman on her way to work, stopped after the collision. Roseville Police Chief James Berlin said, "It appears to be an unfortunate incident where the male victim did not look both ways while crossing the road. So, just a lesson to all of us to be safe when we're crossing roadways," as reported by Audacy. Little Mack Avenue was closed for investigation by the Accident Reconstruction Team, causing traffic delays.
According to Macomb County Police and Fire Scanner on their Facebook page, the Roseville Police Department is investigating an incident where a man was hit while crossing the road near the Red Roof Inn. The female driver stopped at the scene and was following the speed limit. It is not yet clear why the man was crossing or if he was a guest at the hotel. Authorities advise caution when crossing streets, especially in low-visibility conditions.
