The collision occurred north of downtown Las Vegas, and preliminary information indicates the person was struck and killed. Emergency crews were on scene as investigators worked into the morning.
The North Las Vegas Police Department told the paper in an email that the crash occurred shortly before 2 a.m. at the intersection and that preliminary details indicate the pedestrian was struck and killed. Where it happened
The collision happened where Owens Avenue meets North Las Vegas Boulevard, a busy stretch just north of the city’s downtown. That corridor has seen other serious vehicle-versus-pedestrian collisions this year, including an October 3 crash referenced in a press release from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

North Las Vegas police said investigators are working to determine the circumstances of the crash and will release additional details when they are available.
