
The Philadelphia Law Department has received the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Bar Champion Award. According to the city's release, the award recognizes legal organizations that actively participate in Bar programs, including leadership roles and community service.
The Law Department achieved full participation in the Bar Association, with all professional staff and attorneys holding 100% membership. Members benefit from free CLE courses, ethics guidance, discounts, networking opportunities, and access to leadership roles. Staff have also contributed to the association’s publications and governance committees.
City Solicitor Renee Garcia said in an official statement, "The Philadelphia Bar Association is a vital network connecting legal professionals across the private and public sectors." She highlighted that the department's participation in the Bar has helped build partnerships, enhance legal skills, and promote the exchange of ideas that benefit the city. Garcia added, "In an evolving legal landscape, we are grateful to be part of this community as we work together toward a vibrant and equitable future for Philadelphia."
