
The Philadelphia Police Department has issued a public plea for help in the search for a missing 16-year-old girl, Zahirah Acosta, who was last seen on November 5, 2025. According to their official website, Zahirah vanished around 12:00 AM from the 26xx block of N. 7th Street and is known to frequent the 31xx block of F Street. Standing at 5’3″ and weighing 120 lbs., she has brown eyes and black hair.
Described as wearing a grey “Essentials” hooded sweatshirt, grey sweatpants, and white/black "Jordan" sneakers, she also has a distinctive hoop nose piercing on the right side. Known by her nickname "Zahi," her sudden disappearance has caused the local community and the authorities alike to grow increasingly concerned for her safety. Last seen by those who know her well, their efforts to locate her has become a priority.
The police are urging anyone with any information about Zahirah's whereabouts to come forward. She is not only missed by her community but also represents a piece in the larger puzzle of missing youth, which continues to challenge cities such as Philadelphia.
