
Authorities are seeking the public’s help to identify a male suspect in an aggravated assault. The incident, captured on video, took place on the evening of October 31 at a Walmart on Roosevelt Boulevard, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.
According to the incident report, the situation escalated when the suspect, initially stopped for suspected retail theft, was taken to the store’s Asset Protection office. There, the individual reportedly brandished a handgun and threatened to shoot if not released before fleeing the scene. He was last seen leaving in a black station wagon. Authorities are asking the public not to approach the suspect and to call 911 if he is spotted.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the suspect to submit tips anonymously online or by calling 215-686-TIPS (8477). The Philadelphia Police Department says all tips will remain confidential.
The Northeast Detective Division is leading the investigation and is asking anyone with information to come forward. Tips can be submitted by calling 215-686-3153 or 215-686-3154 and referencing case DC 25-08-052915. Additional updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
