Following a routine traffic stop in Livermore earlier this month, a Pleasant Hill resident faces multiple felony drug charges after police officers discovered a significant amount of narcotics. The Livermore Police Department, in a social media post, stated that during the early hours of Saturday, November 8, a vehicle was pulled over for not stopping at a stop sign near the intersection of Railroad Avenue and North Livermore Avenue.

Daniel Sutton, 22, was identified as the driver and the only individual in the car. The officers reported witnessing narcotics, such as cocaine, in plain view, as well as a noticeable quantity of marijuana on the floorboard of the vehicle. Sutton conceded to the presence of additional drugs both inside his car and at his home. Among the items seized from the car were 2 pounds of Psilocybin, over an ounce of cocaine prepared for sale, more than two ounces of MDMA, over 100 tabs of LSD, 35 amphetamine pills, 100 THC vape pens, and a half-pound of marijuana.

The Livermore Police's follow-up investigation at Sutton's Pleasant Hill residence led to the discovery of another 2 pounds of Psilocybin, 65 amphetamine pills, and more than 100 tabs of LSD. As a result, Sutton was arrested on multiple charges related to the transportation and possession of controlled substances with intent to sell.
